Head of Technology

We are looking for a Head of Technology who has been battle tested and lived the startup journey (and wants to come back for more).

Builtfirst is seeking a Head of Technology with 10+ years as a [insert] and technical leader. Someone who also isn’t afraid of getting their hands dirty and is even more excited to cope and drive the technical vision for Builtfirst.

In your first month -

• You’ll collaborate with designers and product managers to brainstorm solutions, and provide feedback throughout the feature development lifecycle.
• You’ll take client-facing calls to better understand our customers and deliver them value.

After your first three months -

• You’ve standardized technical best practices.
• You’ve communicated technical vision and complex technical matters to all internal stakeholders and the executive team in a clear and efficient manner.
• You’ve identified the exact technological resources necessary to meet the company's needs.

After your first year -

• You’ve consistently inspired and motivated both the engineering team and the company with your technical vision, which helped to continue to drive the entire company in a unified direction.
• You’ve ensured the team consistently launched new features and functionality while you contributed and improved the team’s ability to execute efficiently, rapidly, and effectively.

Things about you:

• You’ve successfully defined, designed and built secure, reliable, large-scale, and high-performance application architecture, database and services.
• You’ve mastered the ability to present technical issues and vision to nontechnical audiences i.e. investors or customers.
• You always keep the customer first and prioritize delivering them value no matter what.
• You’re deeply passionate about working closely with our customers, Design, Product, Customer Success, and Sales teams to provide visibility into the development process.
• You’re an autonomous executer that thrives on taking things from 0 → 1.
