About the Role

The Head of Sales is a critical role within our company.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an intelligent, communicative and highly motivated individual to help drive the continued growth and performance of our company. EcoMap’s software is tailor-made for large, medium and small ecosystems, including but not limited to entrepreneurial ecosystems, industry specific ecosystems, and large corporate ecosystems. EcoMap is at an incredible stage with proven product/market fit, validated demand, and have attracted a host of leading enterprise and mid-market ecosystem clients. EcoMap is growing rapidly and seeks a proven senior sales executive to drive rapid growth in the space.

The Head of Sales will be a key stakeholder in owning our revenue growth by developing an omnichannel plan and building a sales organization. This individual will work very closely with the Head of Business Development, Head of Customer Success, and Head of Marketing in particular. The Head of Sales will collaborate across the organization to solve complex problems and lead campaigns that will increase Sales and Revenue growth. Ultimately, they are responsible for building and leading the journey from lead to signed contract. The ideal candidate is familiar with and has experience with B2B SaaS sales cycles and can quickly learn about ecosystem building.

In this role you will be responsible for building a team of top talent sales representatives. You will be responsible for recruiting, training and developing team members into a highly efficient, productive and results oriented department.

You are

  • Motivated by owning and evolving the outbound lead flow and close deals to generate revenue
  • Results-driven and capable of executing in a fast-paced environment. You love to hit or exceed your numbers and take pride in pushing yourself.
  • Data driven: you know how to establish closed-loop analytics to understand how our inbound marketing activity turns into customers, ie convert qualified leads into demos.
  • Experienced with creating weekly/monthly reports containing a robust description of monthly activity, suitable advice and recommendations and a clear summary of performance against the key performance indicators and metrics
  • Able to work closely with Head of Business development to iterate and improve on sales process and strategy
  • Focused on speed; you move quickly with sound judgement that comes from experience & strong critical thinking skills.

  • A strong communicator & team builder who can inspire, attract, and ultimately, manage a team of high performing marketers and drive all aspects of developing, leading, and coaching with a high focus on the teams metrics.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Sales
    • Within 30 days learn and demo the products to provide a deep overview to our customers of what EcoMap is and what problems we solve
    • Conduct Agile Sales where a consistent sales process is followed along with constant improvement day by day, week by week
    • Collect, track, and define metrics for our sales cycle and then turn those insights into strategies to decrease the length of our sales cycle, develop outbound campaigns to capture more of our market shares
  • Hiring and Team
    • Lead a culture of sales excellence; drive consistent implementation and adoption of sales processes, pipeline management, success measurements, and sales performance
    • Sustain team performance by ensuring the team focus on the activities needed to “win the week”, while continuously developing all team members and maintaining a high level of motivation amongst the team
  • Collaboration
    • Collaborate closely with Marketing to improve and iterate messaging and collateral for the sales team
    • Collaborate closely with Customer Success to ensure a seamless hand-off and successful long-term relationship with customers
    • Provide feedback to Product to improve customer experience and monetization

What You Bring to The Team

  • Proven work experience of 5-7+ years in Marketing or Sales ideally at a B2B SaaS Startup
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence customer stakeholders including C-level
  • Experience using Hubspot or similar CRM
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics or KPI’s
  • A deep understanding of customer needs to design sales processes which solve for customers first
  • Availability to travel as needed
  • Occasional need to work outside of normal business hours as required to support customers may be required
  • A strong track record of growth and overachieving targets in a high velocity, high-growth business
