Lyonshare is a strategic business building and fundraising agency for fast growing startups and emerging fund managers, whose clients include Bain Capital Ventures, Chelsea Clinton, and Billboard Music. Lyonshare is responsible for helping its clients build businesses that have raised >$6B equity from investors like RRE, Greycroft, USV, Clerisy, Brown University, and Cambridge Associates. The founder of Lyonshare can be found teaching at organizations like Tory Burch Foundation, Startup Grind, NYU Stern and iFundWomen.

Lyonshare is seeking a Chief of Staff to play an instrumental role in the launch of the new businesses and funds that work with our consultancy. This role will span many elements of the venture capital process including vetting inbound opportunities, diligence, working with portfolio companies, communications and business development management. The Chief of Staff will own many business functions and participate in business planning, forecasting, and strategizing with incredible founders. Longer-term opportunities as part of this role include direct investing alongside leading VCs into our clients, and more in-depth or in-house work with our clients.

Responsibilities
Serve as right hand to founder in all client work, business development, strategic and community initiatives
- Strategize investor positioning and startup building advisory for clients
- Gather reference materials, market sizing, relevant news pertaining to each client
- Outline, write, and refine fundraising decks for early stage startups and funds of all sizes (with guidance from founder/principal)
- Advise designers on client branding and collateral design
- Communicate with and diligence potential clients and investments
- Strategize and execute marketing and BD initiatives with founder
- Provide content ideation/edits/writing for founder social media and long form content
- Understand and observe the venture capital landscape to identify new opportunities
- Represent Lyonshare in networking organizations and events
- Refine and execute Lyonshare’s messaging in the venture capital ecosystem

Requirements
Strong writing and critical thinking skills
- Experience or strong interest in the venture capital, startup or finance ecosystem
- Go-getter, who is a hustler, self motivated, and can think outside of the box to develop creative solutions
- Interpersonal skills, comfortable owning relationships and interfacing with high level executives
- Minimum experience: 2+ years in VC, finance, or high-level client services

Longer term opportunity
Direct investing alongside leading VCs into our clients via Lyonshare’s guaranteed investment rights
- Using this role as a jumping board to VC and/or FT opportunities at one of our clients or partners

Location Remote, executive team based in NYC and open to co-working

Timing Part time or Full time, flexible hours
