👩🏽‍💻 Chief Operating Officer (COO) - Fractional / Part-Time

The COO will oversee the entirety of LaaS Co’s daily operations, people management, strategic growth. This includes managing existing team members, handling payroll, overseeing the execution of new projects, promoting the company culture and vision, and providing status updates to the C-Suite team.

The ideal candidate will have a background in investing, venture capital, or fast-paced startups with at least 2-3 years of mid to senior-level management experience. Additionally, they should be detail-oriented with the ability to manage OKRs, assign project tasks, and ensure the company mission is being achieved. Lastly, they should have a familiarity with tools like Notion, Airtable, and Google Workspace.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage task assignments for LaaS Co’s remote team
  • Assist with LaaS Co financials, including submitting payroll and receiving invoices
  • Provide regular status updates to key LaaS Co stakeholders, including the CEO
  • Write job descriptions, interview, and hire additional team members for key roles
  • Monitor team member success and handle 1-on-1 reviews of their overall progress
  • Work with the Head of Partnerships and CEO to negotiate sponsorships, promotions, and affiliate relationships
  • Ability to adapt and learn new platforms, tools, or responsibilities as the needs of the organization change over time
  • 1 - 2 years experience working for a fast-paced startup or 1-2 years experience working in the investor/VC industry

Estimated Work Hours: 15-20 Hours per month
